Mr. Dangote and Ogun State Governor Visited ITORI Project
On March 17, Mr. Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Chairman of Nigeria’s Dangote Group, and Mr. Dapo Abiodun, Governor of Ogun State, visited the ITORI project for inspection and guidance.
The delegation make a site visit to the plant and acknowledge the construction achievements of the project. ITORI project team report to Mr. Dangote and Mr. Dapo Abiodun on the management of the project in terms of safety, quality, progress and its contribution to the promotion of local economic development, social employment and infrastructure improvement.
After the briefing, Mr. Dangote express that the ITORI Cement Plant has grown from a primitive jungle to today’s production line that begun to take a shape, SINOMA's efforts deserves recognition.” He also review the cooperation history between Dangote Group and SINOMA, pointing out that the two sides have worked together to build more than ten cement clinker production lines in many countries in Africa, and have maintained close cooperation in the fields of port, grinding station, sugar factory, oil refinery, etc. and Mr. Dangote hope that the ITORI project could be successfully complete like the previous projects.
In his speech, Mr. Dapo Abiodun emphasize the role of the ITORI cement plant in boosting the local economy. He point out that the ITORI project has directly created thousands of jobs, and he expects that the commissioning of the cement plant will further boost employment, improve people's livelihoods, promote social stability, and provide a strong impetus to the economic growth of Ogun State.
On behalf of the local people, ITORI community leaders express their gratitude to Mr. Dangote for investing in the construction of 2×6000t/d cement clinker production line in ITORI area, which provides a large number of jobs for the local community and effectively promotes the economic prosperity of the local community. At the same time, ITORI community leaders also express their gratitude to SINOMA team's efforts in community support, particularly the project team actively help local villagers to build roads and bridges during the rainy season to improve the transportation conditions, which fully demonstrated SINOMA's responsibility and commitment.
Mr. Dangote and Mr. Dapo Abiodun's affirmation of the project's construction results and guidance for the next step of work not only strongly promoted the progress of the project's construction, but also affirmed the 18 years of cooperation with SINOMA, building a good foundation for the continue and deepen cooperation between DANGOTE Group and SINOMA.
ITORI project’s strategic vision is to build four 6000t/d cement clinker production lines. Presently the first phase of the project under construction is a 2×6,000t/d cement clinker production line, which is general contracted by Sinoma International (Nanjing) and constructed by Sinoma(Suzhou). It is a "turnkey" project covering the entire process from design, procurement to construction.
In the future, the project team will firmly implement the service tenet of “thoughtful and timely, high-quality and efficient, win-win cooperation, from conception to completion”, continue to carry forward the spirit of tenacity and hard work, and strive for excellence in safety management, project construction and regional development, etc., to ensure that the project will be complete on time and with high quality and continuously to enhance the overseas popularity and reputation of the SINOMA brand, the project team will also continue to deepen the cooperation with the employers and make greater contribution to the high-quality promotion of regional management.
