Sinoma(Suzhou) and Galiawa Group VAN Company Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement

On February 27, Sinoma(Suzhou) and Iraq Galiawa Group VAN Company held a signing ceremony for a strategic cooperation agreement. Mr. Xia Yi, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of Sinoma(Suzhou), and Mr. Shwan Mohammad, General Manager of Galiawa Group VAN Company, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.

The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on integrating Sinoma(Suzhou)’s comprehensive engineering service capabilities with Galiawa’s local market resources, strengthening cooperation in cement and lightweight building materials engineering, new energy project development, and jointly promoting resource complementarity and market expansion.

Mr. Xia Yi stated that Sinoma(Suzhou) and Galiawa Group VAN Company have maintained continuous communication since 2022. Both parties have long anticipated formal collaboration. This deep strategic cooperation with Galiawa holds significant importance. Sinoma(Suzhou) will fully support Galiawa’s strategic initiatives in Iraq and provide sustained empowerment. We aim to achieve high-quality development for both parties and contribute to Iraq’s industrial modernization and sustainable economic growth through close collaboration.

Mr. Shwan Mohammad noted that Galiawa Group VAN Company, founded in 1976, is an Iraqi conglomerate with businesses spanning steel plants, real estate, commercial concrete mixing stations and cement. In recent years, the group has actively invested in gypsum board factories and steel plate rolling mills, driving sustainable development in Iraq’s construction materials sector through robust financial strength and extensive trade experience. In terms of business, the two sides have many converging points and large cooperation space. This agreement marks a new stage of comprehensive strategic partnership. It is hoped that the two sides will make good use of the mechanism of regular high-level visits and the platform for high-level communication established in the agreement to efficiently exchange cooperation information, give full play to the synergy effect, accelerate the signing and implementation of the projects under discussion, constantly consolidate the long-term strategic partnership and share the fruits of mutually beneficial and win-win development.

Prior to the signing ceremony, Galiawa Group VAN Company representatives visited Sinoma(Suzhou)’s exhibition hall, where they observed the company’s strengths in its "EPC+F+O&M"  integrated industrial chain services,as well as the fruitful results achieved in recent years in accelerating the "extension of both ends" and "going up" development in localization.
