Consul General of P.R. China in Erbil Liu Jun inspects Sinoma (Suzhou) Iraq SCP Operation & Maintenance Project and expresses New Year greetings

On Feb. 23rd 2025, Consul General of P.R. China in Erbil Liu Jun inspected Sinoma (Suzhou) Iraq SCP Operation & Maintenance Project and expressed New Year greetings.

Consul General Liu and his team went to the project site in-depth to inspect the operation and maintenance situation and listened to the detailed report of Gong Teng, the project manager of Sinoma (Suzhou) Iraqi Kurdistan Region O&M Project Dept., on safety & environmental protection management, production management, localized operation, Party building, etc. Consul General Liu fully affirmed the efforts made by Sinoma (Suzhou) in safe production, compliant operation, and localized management, and stressed strengthening safety awareness further, strictly implementing safety management systems, effectively fulfilling the principal responsibility, protecting the lives of employees, and ensure the stable operation of the project.

During the communication with the project management and front-line employees, Consul General Liu asked in detail about the work and living conditions of Chinese employees, and encouraged them to overcome difficulties and continue to contribute to China-Iraq economic and trade cooperation. He said that the Consulate General has always been concerned about the safety and well-being of Chinese-funded enterprises and overseas Chinese in Iraq, and is willing to work with enterprises together to promote high-quality development.

Consul General Liu also prepared "Spring Festival Gift Packages" to frontline employee representatives on behalf of the Consulate General, extending New Year greetings and good wishes to everyone.
