Signature of Cooperation Agreement on Melka Jebdu Industrial Park between Sinoma (Suzhou) and Ethiopia National WIH
On April 11, Sinoma (Suzhou) Construction Co., Ltd. signed Melka Jebdu Industrial Park Cooperation Agreement with National WIH Building Materials Holding Company in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Dr. Buzuayehu Tadele, Party Secretary and Executive Director of Sinoma (Suzhou) Mr. Lin Zhong, Deputy General Manager of Sinoma International (Nanjing) and President of Sinoma Cargo Mr. Huang Ping, Deputy Secretary of CPC and General Manager of Sinoma (Suzhou) Mr. Xia Yi, Executive Deputy General Manager of Sinoma (Suzhou) Mr. Xu Yaping, Deputy General Manager of Sinoma (Suzhou) Mr. Wang Yi, Ethiopia government officials, etc. participated the signing ceremony.
The Melka Jebdu Industrial Park is jointly invested by West International Holding Limited and East Africa Holding S.C., including two steel rolling production lines with an annual output of 700,000 tons, a lime production line with an annual output of 300,000 tons, a 6000t/d cement clinker production line, a cement products line, a processing line of steel structure and machinery production, a set of commercial concrete mixing plant and the supporting living area. After the industrial park is completed and put into operation, it will provide a large number of local jobs and greatly promote the industrialization of the eastern region of Ethiopia.
Wang Fayin said in his speech that Melka Jebdu Industrial Park is West International’s another marketing strategic move in Ethiopia following the Lemi Building Materials Industrial Park. At present, the projects of 10,000t/d cement production line and gypsum production line in Lemi Building Materials Industrial Park are under vigorous construction. Sinoma (Suzhou) has organized the projects in an orderly manner with good construction quality and strict safety management, fully demonstrating the best service and super ability to fulfill the contract. He expressed the hope that the two sides could continue the cooperation of making full use of each other's abilities and strengths and fully communicating with each other, and build the Melka Jebdu Industrial Park into a demonstration industrial park in Ethiopia and even in Africa with China's speed and spirit.
Dr. Buzuayehu Tadele said the industrial park locates in close proximity to ports of Djibouti and Berbera of Somalia and that will provide the company a strategic location to easily access international trade routes and export products upon completion. He hopes the industrial park will be completed and put into operation as soon as possible to produce economic benefits.
