Iraq DCC Line 1 Upgrade Fully Completed with Successful Kiln Ignition

September 2, 2026, at 5:18 AM – With the successful ignition of the kiln, Iraq DCC Line 1 has officially entered a new era of production excellence. Mr. Omar Hussein, Deputy CEO of Delta Cement, stated that this ignition signifies the total revitalization of Line 1, built upon the foundation of the new cement mill, and demonstrates the power of technical expertise and strategic planning. The ignition completes the grate cooler and preheater modification work, marking the completion of the comprehensive renovation project executed by Sinoma (Suzhou) Construction Co., Ltd. This achievement follows the successful commissioning of the cement grinding system four months ago, and now the full modernization package is fully integrated.

Key leadership from both organizations oversaw the final commissioning and ignition phase, including Mr. Omar Hussein and Mr. Li Haining, Project Manager of Line 2 & PV Project from Sinoma Suzhou.

During the ceremony, management expressed profound satisfaction with Sinoma Suzhou's professional execution, noting that the project has successfully reached its goal of fully revitalizing Line 1 for long‑term industrial success. Delta Cement Company highlighted that this final phase of the renovation is a vital achievement for the company's growth, and praised the seamless cooperation between the Delta and Sinoma Suzhou teams that made this delivery possible.

By modernizing the preheater and grate cooler, the plant is now equipped to meet the rising market demand for high‑quality cement with a much more sustainable and cost‑effective production process.
